This original tin of percussion caps measures 1½” diameter and is ½” deep. Tin contains forty-five small copper percussion caps coated with fulminate of mercury. For use with cap and ball percussion sidearms, caps are housed in their cylindrical, two-piece tin case or can which exhibits paper labels with the maker’s name glued to the tin exteriors. Base tin reads “J. S. GOLDMARK’S PERCUSSION CAPS / MANUFD BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO , NEW HAVEN, CONN.” Top label partially torn away and hard to read. Very good condition with scattered scratches on the surface.
