Federal, pre-war .36 caliber paper-wrapped Sharps pistol cartridge in very good plus condition. Used in the Sharps single-shot pistol, this specimen is unmarked and has its cast bullet exposed with its accompanying powder charge tightly encased within the original brown paper case. Paper is clean, bright, and tight about the head witrh no surface grime. No visible tears or perforations. A fine example of a rare, complete pre-Civil War .36 caliber Sharps pistol paper cartridge.
