This is a four-section steel cleaning rod for the Henry Rifle. Consists of four, seven-inch sections. Brass rammer on one end piece and an “eye” on another end piece. Very light surface rust in spots.
There were three designs for the four-section cleaning rod for the Henry Rifle. Early Henrys used a rod of hard wood. A second type was made of steel with a brass rammer head and a brass eye. The last design of the Henry cleaning rod could also used with the Model 1866 Winchester. In place of the brass eye, it has an eye forged on the one of the steel sections. It does still employ the brass rammer head.
