This is an original .69 caliber Buck & Ball cartridge in very good condition. Composed of a .69 caliber round ball with three .31 caliber buckshot on top. Wrapped in tan cartridge paper and tied with string between each portion. The cartridge paper is strong and in good condition with just some light wrinkling near the regulation folded tail on the bottom. A nice specimen of this multi-projectile round that was used in smoothbore muskets by both sides throughout the entire war. [jet]
