This is a tool for clearing the vent of any obstructions. It has an octagonal head with a hole in the center, and a 17” wire brazed to it. The wire comes to a point at the end.
The flat head is stamped “10 R” and “M 95” on one side. The other side has some rust and pitting but a few letters are visible from what was once “WATERVLIET ARSENAL”. This indicates it was manufactured at Watervliet Arsenal for a 10-inch rifle. [jet]
