Offered is a single action colt that was manufactured in 1884. It is a 6-shot .44 – 40-caliber revolver. The 7-½ inch barrel is marked COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD, Ct. U.S.A. in a single line. On the left side is the patent date marking, which has three lines of 1871, 1872 and 1875. Trigger guard is marked 44 C.F. Grips are varnished walnut. Serial number 98507 is stamped on the frame, trigger guard, cylinder and backstrap. Gate is stamped 6205.

Metal has been lightly cleaning and some very minor pitting. Finish has a nice look and may have been cold blued in areas and is in working order.

Also is enclosed a Colt letter stating that this revolver was one of 50 sent to Hartley and Graham in New York on Sept 22, 1884.
