Serial No. 110. .41 caliber, rim-fire single shot, sideway loading, spur trigger deringer, with 2.5” octagonal barrel. Quantity produced, 1866-73, 16, 000.
Barrel markings: “Southerner” [top], “Brown MFG Co. / Newburyport Mass. / Pat. Apr. 1857.” Butt marking: serial no. “110”. Barrel, hammer & trigger exhibit medium gray patina, with minor nicks consistent with age and usage. Clean brass frame, & walnut grips. Sideways loading ejector functional. Bore clean. In all, VG plus. Classy deringer. Fine desk piece, great collectible.
