Made c. 1863-65; total quantity about 32,000. .44 caliber six shot round cylinder. Eight inch round barrel. Walnut grip with a faint inspector’s cartouche on each side. Serial number 39328. Superb example with nearly 95-98% of its original blue finish on the barrel. Frame with faded traces of case colors. Cylinder with about 50% blue with balance a nice plum color. Right side of frame marked, “STARR’S PATENT JAN 15, 1856”. Left side of frame marked “STARR ARMS CO. NEW YORK”. Mechanically perfect. [ss]
