$1,295.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 906-16

Manufactured from 1860 until 1873, this model revolver was very popular with Civil War officers and civilians during that time period. Similar to a Model 1851 Colt Navy with the exception of being a smaller frame revolver. The frames are almost identical with the pocket model. The most obvious difference is the fluted 5-shot cylinder and the round barrel. Barrel length is 5 ½” with Colt marking, “Address Col. SamL Colt New-York US America” visible on top. The fluted cylinder not marked. All nipples original and in excellent condition. Safety pins are hammered down. Frame has “Colt’s/Patent” left side. Back strap and trigger guard nice yellow patina. Wood grips original and in good condition. “36 cal.” marking on left side of brass frame. Matching serial numbers, #38559, found on barrel, frame, trigger guard, and butt strap. Mechanically perfect! Sharp crisp action. All metal has dark gray color, smooth surfaces with evenly scattered fine pitting. A nice Colt revolver.  [jet]
