Pistol meas. approx. 11.75 inches long. Barrel is part octagon and part round. It meas. approx. 8.00 inches and is .36. Rifling looks excellent though the bore appears to be dirty with light surface rust. Barrel is marked along the left side “ALLEN & THURBER / WORCESTER / CAST STEEL.” Bottom is stamped with number “508.” Small stud front sight is mounted on the muzzle with a notched rear sight just forward of the hammer.

Hammer is slightly off center to the right allowing for sighting. Hammer has no half cock but does hold and fall properly at full cock. Original nipple is present.

Rounded walnut grip is in good condition. Triggerguard is plain with no decoration.

Originally blued this weapon no wears its natural metal finish throughout with only the slightest signs of mottling. Some light pitting and discoloration at the base of the nipple.

These pistols came with various barrel lengths with the longer barrels being more desirable.  [ad]
