This is a nice example of a US Model 1863 Springfield Type II. The lockplate and barrel are both dated 1864 although barrel date is weak. Walnut stock is in good condition with both inspectors’ cartouches visible. Mechanically perfect. Barrel has a mottled patina from light to dark brown. Bore is VG+ condition. Patina of metal all matches. Nice untouched 100% firearm. [ss]
