Flintlock is a 20 gauge cylinder bore long gun crafted by Alan Sandy (Contemporary Life Rifle Association).
Specifications
20 gage cylinder bore, overall length is 57 ½”, barrel is 42”, 1 ¼” at the breech and 7/8” at the muzzle , trigger pull 13 ¾”. Butt thickness is 2 1/8”. Barrel is part octagon to round. Lock is a Jim Chambers colonial lock, engraved, with elegant goose neck cock. Gun shoots a .595 round ball atop 60-65 grains of 2F black powder. The lock is a sure fire lock, rain or shine.
Features
Super Premium curly maple hand crafted by the maker, incise and raise carved, incorporating wrap around lock and side plate moldings, and a cameo wrist. Tang area is raised carved in a shell pattern incorporating silver wire inlay. Ornately engraved brass butt plate, trigger guard, and lock bolt plate. Barrel is part octagon to round, and inlaid at the breech with silver bands, and an engraved tang numbered “151”. Engraved silver shield inlay at the wrist. Raised ramrod channel with four brass ramrod pipes. Butt stock with incise carving on both sides.
