Cal. 58 produced by Parker, Snow and Company and made in Meriden, Conn. They made a total quantity of 15,000. The lock surface is a nice attic brown in color. Markings of eagle motif /U.S. and PARKERS’ SNOW & CO / MERIDEN, CONN. to right of the hammer and the Date (XXXX) to the rear of the lock. Barrel marks “VP/ Eagle”, and “18xx” at the end of the barrel. The rear sight is complete and functional. The ramrod is original. Bore has good rifling remaining and is bright. The stock is dark and has numerous some small nicks from years of handling.
