From the famed Rosensteel collection. Thin brass oval militia plate, possibly Confederate, measuring 2.5 x 3.25” with intact stud hooks and tongue. Face retains oval shape, while exhibiting medium coppery patina, with minor dents & light tarnishing at the edge. Reverse exhibits matching patina with patches of verdigris. Hooks strong and solid. Attractive piece, solid Gettysburg provenance.
