This riker box display contains a dropped Union three ring Minie ball and a dropped Confederate Gardner bullet. Also in the box is the stamped brass "skin" only of what used to be either a belt plate or box plate; there is no way to tell which it is. This plate is from the famous Rosensteel collection which formed the basis for the present Gettysburg National Military Park collection. Nice rich patina to face. 95% of the skin is present with some loss around the edges with small holes above each letter. No lead fill or hooks. Museum number on back.
