The view was taken somewhere on Culp’s Hill. It shows trees damaged during the battle and one that was split in half.
The view is number 533 and is captioned “EFFECTS OF UNION SHOT AND SHELL-CULP’S HILL” The contrast of the image is good and the mount is clean.
