Image is mounted on yellow stock. One edge is marked “ARTISTIC STEREO GEMS OF GETTYSBURG SCENERY” and the other states that the image is by W. H. Tipton.
The view shows an area on Culp’s Hill with raised mounds of dirt from the Union trenches that now contain dead Confederates. This view gives a great idea of the terrain on Culp’s Hill and how clear it was of underbrush.
The view is number 580 and is captioned “TRENCHES CONTINING CONFEDERATE DEAD, CULP’S HILL.” The contrast of the image is good and the mount is clean.
Reverse has an advertisement for Tipton’s work.
