Stereo is on a yellow mount with “ARTISTIC STEREO GEMS OF GETTYSBURG SCENERY” on one edge and “PHOTOGRAPHED BY W. H. TIPTON GETTYSBURG, PA.” on the other.
The image shows the woods on Culp’s Hill and allows one to see how the hill looked during the fighting. Though heavily wooded it was mostly free from underbrush. Many of the trees bear marks from having been struck by bullets.
Image number is too light to make out. The caption reads “EFFECTS OF MUSKET FIRE-CULP’S HILL.” The image is clear and clean. The contrast is a bit light. Reverse is blank.
