Very nice condition GAR ribbon with a stamped brass top bar with “GAR” at center. Bar has scrollwork design at each end and a beaded border. Original pin remains on reverse.

Suspended from this bar is a light blue ribbon with silver bullion tassels along the bottom. The ribbon meas. approx. 6.75 inches long x 2.50 inches wide. Pinned to the top of the ribbon is a bronze Maltese cross with a bust view of Colonel Patrick O’Rorke of the 140^th New York who was killed at Gettysburg. Around the picture on the arms of the cross is “MONROE CO. CIVIL WAR VETERANS ASSN. JULY 1913” In four lines on the bottom of the ribbon in silver lettering is “O’RORKE POST NO.1 ROCHESTER NEW YORK.”

This is one of the most pleasing ribbons we have seen in a while and it is in excellent condition.
