Features large front page map—“THE IMPENDING BATTLE FIELD: Scene of the Present Movements and Operations of the Contending Armies of Generals Meade and Lee.” The remainder of the issue is a trove of reportage concerning the retreat of Lee’s Army from Gettysburg [July 1-3]. En route to Falling Waters, MD, where he would elude Meade’s pursuit by crossing the Potomac on July 14, 1863. Slightly yellowed, the newspaper is in otherwise pristine condition. Excellent Gettysburg Campaign display piece.
