This plate was issued for the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. The field of the plate is painted blue with gray raised letters that read “75TH ANNIVERSARY BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG, JUNE 29-JULY 6, 1938.”
The blue paint has worn some on the front causing the aluminum underneath to show. This gives the plate a speckled appearance. The same wear appears on the reverse. Otherwise the plate is in good shape with no chipped letters or cracks.
