This 1884 Kurz & Allison print of Pickett’s Charge comes in the original frame and mat with a foam-core backing and is ready to be hung on the wall. Framed the piece meas. approx. 33.25 inches long x 26.00 inches high. The image itself meas. approx. 24.50 x 18.00 inches. The mat is cut to reveal the maker’s mark and date in the lower right corner.

This lithograph shows the high point of Pickett’s Charge and is based on the well-known cyclorama painting by Paul Philippoteaux. General Armistead’s men have crossed the stone wall into the area by the Copse of Trees. The General is seen being shot from his horse while Lieutenant Cushing of the Union battery facing Armistead’s Confederates falls over one of his guns. Also, like the cyclorama there is a group of Confederate prisoners being led to the rear by Union guards. Even the stone walls in the lithograph mimic those found in the cyclorama painting. The background is filled with reinforcements coming up for both sides and Little and Big Round Top can also be seen.

The lithograph looks to be in very nice condition. Free of stains, rips or creases and the colors are rich and vibrant. This is an outstanding example of Kurz & Allison’s work.

EXTRA SHIPPING REQUIRED.
