This relic was recovered by a local Gettysburg family (Gilbert) on their farm along the Taneytown Road after the battle of Gettysburg.
Item is a Model 1854 Austrian gun tool that is complete and in very good relic condition. There is surface rust throughout but no flaking or corrosion is visible. This is not something that was exposed to the elements for too long.
