This button is very small even as cuff buttons go. It is a flat button with an impressed decoration of a spread-winged eagle at center. There is approx. 40% of the gold gilt remaining. This is found mostly in the lowest areas of the button around the eagle.

The reverse has the stub of a shank and some small amounts of gold gilt.

This button was dug on the site of a Colonial home near the East Cavalry Battlefield at Gettysburg.
