This fragment is from a 12-pound spherical shell. It meas. approx. 4.00 inches long at its longest point and approx. 3.00 inches at its widest and appears to come from one of the sides of the shell as there is no sign of the fuse hole.

The fragment has light surface rust and a pitted surface.

Item was recovered from Rock Creek near the base of Culp’s Hill.
