Lantern souvenir was originally a candy holder. Tin base has glass globe attached and gold colored metal bracket with hook at the top. Glass has a decal that reads, “SOUVENIR GETTYSBURG, 1863”. Tin base has a darkened patina. The top of the ruby red glass globe is clear glass which has decorative gold accents, some of which has worn off.
Measures 4 3/4” high, not counting hook on the top. Base measures approx. 2” in circumference.
This is a nice vintage Gettysburg collectible.
