A nice, original Pennsylvania National Guard Encampment Medal from Gettysburg, in 1908. Medal is made of silver washed brass. Medal is stamped on the front with the image of a soldier holding a rifle and three tents, and is labeled, “PENN. NATL. GUARD ENCAMPMENT, GETTYSBURG, PA JULY 1908”. Reverse is marked, “SCHWAAB S & S CO, MILWAUKEE.” Medal has a loop at the top with a black leather strap and buckle. Leather is supple and in good condition with some slight crazing.
