Uncleaned US Schenkl shell in dug condition. Body of the fuse adapter remains in channel, but its head is missing. Surface shows heavy rust and pitting. Recovered from the Gettysburg battlefield, on the Daniel Lady farm about 600 yards East of the barn, near Route 116 East. Found by local resident and relic hunter, Ms. Mary Ann Rider of Gettysburg. Ms. Rider’s mother was Iva Rosensteel, sister to George Rosensteel who founded the Electric Map Museum in Gettysburg. [jet]
