Excavated C.S. copper fuse adapter. This is the short adapter used in cannon balls. Nice green patina and only the slightest damage to the threads. There appears to be the remnants of the paper time fuse in the adapter.

This piece was recovered in the 1950s-60s from the woods between the Pennsylvania Monument and Taneytown Road.

This relic was once part of the Iva Rosensteel collection. Mrs. Rosensteel is the sister of George Rosensteel, who started the Electric Map museum in Gettysburg. Eventually, this item became a part of the Rider collection in Gettysburg, which remained in the family until The Horse Soldier purchased the collection in June 2016.  [jet]
