Cast brass buckle is complete with center bar and both teeth. The body of the plate is wavy from ground pressure and has two stress separations, one along the top and one at the side.

Brass has a nice green patina and light discoloration from ground action. Plate meas. approx. 2 3/8 inches x 2 ¾ inches.

This plate was recovered in the orchard near the Cashtown Inn just west of Gettysburg.  [ad]
