This display box contains relics found by local Gettysburg resident John Cullison on June 2, 1959 on the grounds of Pickett’s charge and then sold to the Rosensteel family for their museum which eventually became the National Park Visitors Center. The relics were released for sale in 1996.

Box contains the following relics:

Half of an iron case shot approx. 2.50 inches wide

2 Crudely cast lead canister ball, probably CS, approx. 1.25 inches wide

Large iron canister ball approx. 1.75 inches. Cast out of round

3 standard US case shot

½ of what is thought to be a CS watering bit

Large Iron horse shoe

3 iron case shot

Display comes with a color copy of the original label with Mr. Cullison’s name and date the relics were purchased from him. [ad]
