Ornately decorated spoon features raised images of General Meade on horseback, General Lee, the Soldier’s National Monument, and crossed muskets on the front of the handle, with a view of the battlefield from Hancock Avenue on the bowl of the spoon. Reverse of handle shows images of General Meade’s Headquarters, crossed cannons, General Lee’s Headquarters, and the New York State Monument. Below this is marked, “S” in a circle and, “STERLING”.
This is a nice, vintage Gettysburg souvenir from the 50th anniversary. [sl]
