Relics recovered on Pickett’s Charge field by local Gettysburg resident John Cullison, who excavated relics on the field from 1935-1959. Cullison sold his collection to the famed Gettysburg Rosensteel family, whole held these relics in their private collection until released in 1996.

Relic box includes:

  • intact .52 caliber Spencer cartridge for rifle or carbine
  • .577 caliber C.S. Enfield bullet for box wood cartridge
  • two fired .58 caliber Minie Balls
  • fired .52 caliber Sharps bullet
  • fired .44 caliber pistol ball for Colt Army Revolver
  • three fired and mushroomed Minie Balls
  • fired and deformed Williams Cleaner bullet
  • fired and deformed Enfield .577 caliber bullet
  • fired .58 caliber C.S. Gardner Minie Ball
  • two fired .54 caliber Minie Balls for Mississippi rifle
  • fired .69 caliber musket ball showing buckshot indentations
  • two .58 caliber U.S. Minie Balls
