Cabinet card photograph of the 111th Pennsylvania Infantry monument on Slocum Avenue at the Gettysburg Battlefield is mounted on heavy green stock. The monument was dedicated on September 11, 1889. A horse is present to the right of monument. Bottom of mount is stamped in gold, “W.H. TIPTON / GETTYSBURG, PA”. Bottom of image is marked, “1006- 111th PENN’S INFT, MONUMENT- CULP’S HILL”. Reverse of card is plain.
Card measures 5 ¼” by 8 ½”. Image is clear with good contrast. Light yellowing and spotting has occurred with age. [AD]
