This is a Federal “smooth side” canteen. It retains its three strap brackets, pewter spout and stopper. In good condition for a relic; probably an early battlefield pick up. Dented sides and surface rust overall with some tin finish remaining on one side.  Still quite solid. Recovered from Gettysburg.  [jet]
