This is a fired example of a CS Read pattern shell. Shell is in dug condition, with pitting in the iron. The lathe lug at the nose has chipped off. The fuse adapter is missing. The brass sabot is intact. Overall a fair Confederate shell in fired condition. Recovered from the Gettysburg battlefield. [jet]
