Portion of a European musket found at Gettysburg.  Approximately 16” long piece from trigger guard to butt plate.  Wood is well worn and weathered; brass furniture has dark patina.

Accompanying paper work claims it was acquired from the owners of the Jennie Wade House collection in the 1950s.

Markings on butt plate include old European regimental markings and the date “1831”.   [jet]
