Relic is one side of a brass eagle powder flask that was recovered at Cavalry Field at Gettysburg. Item shows image of a spread-winged eagle with patriotic shield above crossed pistols. Lettering above eagle reads, “COLT’S PATENT”. .44 Caliber pistol bullet accompanies flask.

Measures 3 ½” long by 2” wide. Shows an even brown patina with verdigris in areas on reverse.  [SL]
