View is of a section of the famous Gettysburg Cyclorama showing Wheeler’s battery charging into action. The interesting thing about this stereo is that when they mounted the two halves on the card they mounted one upside down.
Paper image and yellow mount have only light surface dirt. Image contrast is good.
Reverse has faded stamp that reads “MUMPER PHOTO ARTISTS BALTIMORE ST, GETTYSBURG, Pa.” Below this is a hand written ink caption that reads “BATTERIES COMING INTO ACTION.”
