Elongated penny was produced as a souvenir for the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the battle in 1913. It shows an image of a horseshoe with crossed U.S. and C.S. flags in the center. Wording reads, "50th ANNIVERSARY BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG LUCKY CENT 1863 1913".

Penny has darkened with age. Images and lettering have not worn at all.  [sl]
