This excavated Parrott time fuse adapter artifact was once part of the original Shields Museum in Gettysburg, PA. Artillery fuse adapter is made of zinc and would fit either a 20 lb or 30 lb Parrott artillery percussion shell used during the Civil War. The two spanner holes, threading and tubular shank are in very good condition. Half the fuse body is threaded with the threads in very good condition. Some exterior surface dirt on the exterior. Nice, clean undistorted relic from Gettysburg.
