The central artwork on the cover of this sheet music is a drawing of the well-known photo of Frederick, Frank and Alice Humiston. Their photo was found in the hands of their dead father who was killed on July 1st 1863 at Gettysburg. The interesting thing about this piece is that there is a presentation card glued to the front that reads "Presented to Hattie A. Hemmingway of the Sabbath School of 2nd Congregational Church in Fair Haven, Ct. for zealous efforts in behalf of the National Orphans’ Homestead.” Sheet music is complete and is dated 1864. There are numerous chips and small tears along both edges and the lower front corner is dog-eared. The presentation label has a water stain at bottom.
