Silliman 264 pp. In green partially-marbled wraps, 4.25 x 7”, w/green and gold striped cloth spine. Exhibits cover scuffing and wear at the extremities. Text lightly foxed throughout, while remaining entirely legible. Else Good plus.
Silliman appears to have been from Mississippi, and was to report to Gen. Pemberton. Date of appointment July 11, 1863; Date of confirmation Jan. 30, 1864, to take rank from March 30, 1863.
