Moderately chipped, head & foot, otherwise excellent condition, w/tight spine & page signatures. Period pencil inscription on first page reads, “Edwin Hale Abbot / Cambridge - / 1845 61.” A brief amount of internet research points toward this individual, who both attended Harvard and was a lecturer there.
