Tintype copy of a CDV image of Abraham Lincoln, a Mathew Brady studio portrait taken on February 9, 1864. Waist-up view wearing a dark colored frock coat and vest with a white shirt and cravat. Image, which measures between a 1/16 plate and 1/9 plate, is framed in a CDV mount which is embossed with a wreath and spread-winged eagle design. Reverse has a green two-cent George Washington tax stamp.
Image is clean, card has light spotting and yellowing from age. [sm/ld]
