Excellent condition unframed, matted display is 11" X 14"; at the top is a copy of a depiction of Gen. Armistead and his men at the stone wall at Gettysburg, with flags waving on both sides.

Numerous flags and pendants were used by both sides during the Civil War. They include regimental flags as well as 34 and 35 star United States flags and various types of Confederate flags. From left to right in the display are remnants from both Union and Confederate flags:

1.  Red and white fabric from a 34 US flag (a large barracks flag)

2.  Blue silk fragment & portion of a tassel from a regimental flag carried by the 61st Pennsylvania Vols.

3.  White fabric from a Confederate third national flag taken from the Capital in Richmond on the day Richmond was captured, with seized bonds from the treasury pasted on the flag

4.  Fabric from a Confederate flag captured at the Battle of Pittsburg Landing [Shiloh] in 1862

Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as well as documents of provenance detailing the history of each flag remnant.  [ld]
