Set of hanging balance scales show brass arms and tortoise shell pans.
Pans measure 2 ¾” in diameter. Pans were attached to a 6 ¾” brass balance bar by thin brown cords which have broken. The bar has a hook from which the scale can be suspended for weighing. Patina on brass shows scattered dark spotting. Pans show a few small chips. [sl]
