$325.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 172-3890

Khaki web belt with two piece tongue and wreath style plate.

Belt is tightly woven and meas. approx. 2.00 inches wide. The belt can be adjusted for size on each end by the use of a blackened iron tip with “c” hooks. Each keeper is marked with the Mills name and patent years of 1901, 1905 and 1907.

Each end of the belt has a blackened metal keeper which helps to anchor the blackened bronze tongue with raised “US” and plain wreath. Also attached to the belt is a 1917 dated Mills marked sliding frog for a bayonet.

Behind each piece of the belt plate is a pouch for a single clip of rifle ammunition. These are held closed by the “lift-dot” method. The underside of each flap is marked with the Mills name and an April 1917 date.

Belt is very clean and in excellent shape as are the pouches and frogs. The blacking on the letters “US” has worn off.

Super condition early 20th Century US belt.
