The body of this saddle cinch is made of indigo blue wool web, which was the standard issue girth. An absolute necessity in order that the saddle remain on the horse, and the soldier retain his seat, the girth was one of the most critical pieces of equipment issued to the mounted soldier. Sewn and riveted leather straps are still firmly attached and have light crazing. Iron roller buckles and D- ring have light surface rust. Wool has some slight fraying in areas, but all over condition is very good. [ad]
