Station consists of an OD green wooden box meas. approx. 21.00 x 10.50 x 5.25 inches. Box is well made. Corners have interlocking tabs as well as metal reinforcements. Leather handle and both closures are present and operate properly. The lid of the box is stenciled “METEOROLOGISCHER SATZ.”
Inside the case is a metal tripod, anemometer, temperature gauges, barometer, plastic specimen bottles and the original instructions in German. All instruments are marked in metric units.
The set appears to be mostly complete with all items being in very good condition.
Great for a Cold War display or for educational purposes. [ad]
